Junior Designer wanted.
Based in Camden, Meltoma Design provide design services targeted at web and print deployment. We build websites and fulfil print orders for a wide variety of SMEs. We are now seeking a creative person who wants to build a career in graphic and web design. To start with the post is part-time, and you’ll be asked to attend the office in Camden for three days each week. We’ll provide training around our products, solutions and pre-press processes, but we expect you to be fluent in Adobe Creative Suite including Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
You’ll be responsible for various levels of artworking, including customer artwork amendments, supplied artwork proofing, brief-taking and full work-ups of draft and final artwork for both print and the web. As this is a junior role you will also be expected to perform general office duties as required.
In addition to technical and creative skills, we expect excellent spoken and written communication in english, along with a friendly and helpful attitude to our customers. Our business is helping our customers look great while they sell their products and services, and as such we aim to deliver the “wow-factor” in everything we deliver to our customers. You will need to be able to show us a portfolio of work to demonstrate your creativity in a clearly commercial context.
The right candidate will grow with us, and we anticipate some increase in the working week over time. In the meantime we will offer a degree of flexible working if it suits the selected candidate.
