Graphic design and web development project for Irish music and arts festival Townlands. Design and branding for this 3 day festival started with a logo design.
The client wanted to have a logo that illustrated the old and modern; the rural and urban that is present in Ireland today. As designer this was an interesting one to resolve with such a detailed brief. The outcome is a festival banner that has illustrated elements above. As experienced designers we felt this logo worked as year on year the illustrated elements could change or come off and the banner alone would still remain a recognisable and familiar icon for the festival. Once the logo was signed off we went on to design quite a bit more stuff. Posters, flyers, banners for web, tickets, staff clothing and festival signage were all created by our graphics designers in London.
The largest part of the project was the actual web design and development. With 6 stages there were over 60 acts, a children’s area, food, camping instructions and an online ticketing system that all needed to be up and promoting the festival in a very short timescale. The website is responsive for phones and tablets, SSL certified for e-commerce and has an online ticketing system integrated to make sales and send out customer tickets and updates.
